i'm 13 years old and i have many things to say about this. 1st of all we dont know what the teens were going threw at the time that they did the crime. They were just teenagers and alot of them dont know what they are doing and they learn to regret what they did. Thats how people learn from there mistakes by making there whole life be in prison it shows that your practically saying there worthless when in reality you should try to help them because you never know what kind of life they had.

An alternate Blog I could write is how I believe Death Penalty Abolitionists need to publish real websites for every Death Row inmate. This will elicit government censorship litigation when they make it illegal. But even if it commutes one sentence it is well worth the effort. I am going to fund my own service starting next month but time is life itself and I wish I had help.

I am interested in writing a short Blog on the likelihood that felons will be the first to be compelled to receive a human implant tracking chip. I won't go into a religious rant but I do have to write about what I believe. This is just as much a secular issue as it is a religious issue and I can lean secular. But it won't be much more than speculation. Still, first it's the sex offenders, then the violent felons, then all felons, then all citizens.

I have all the empathy in the world for victims of violent crime; I have family members that were. But to say that someone who is stealing food will also consider raping and murdering you is the largest of leaps...and one that I am tired of hearing.

If you murder, then you will spend an extended time in prison (unless you are famous, have lots of money, etc.) Rapist and sexual predators roam the streets after short sentences so I'm not sure what's going on with that considering that is the group that most people voted for 3x in the first place. As most of us that have any connection with the system know, the main group that has been affected by 3x is not the above mentioned population, but for the most part consists of non-violent or "wobbler" strikes, drug related offenses, and people that recieved multiple strikes from a single previous offense that happened long before the law passed.

For anyone to say that there isn't a need to amend 3x just floors me. There is a reason that groups such as the Stanford group and the Innocence Project are overflowing with requests.

I would like to request that everyone who can to please email the "Government Accountability Office" and voice your dismay with this collect calls only SCAM that has plagued the prison system for so long. Tell them that phone companies rarely charge extra for long distance calls these days; and if they do it is very nominal. There is no need for a collect call system anymore! Hence, prisons can no longer justify these ridiculous charges. They are clearly scamming the desperate families of prisoners. My brother is in prison and my 80 year old parents are on a very low fixed income. I have seen them go without necessities (food and meds) in order to talk with their son and there is no reason for this.

Please refer to the “Cell Phone Contraband Act” (S-1749) and the order to investigate this practice. Tell the GOA to investigate and reform this unscrupulous practice soon.
Here is the link: http://www.gao.gov/contact.html

Leaving a dog out in the heat inside a car is punishable by jail time for animal cruelly. Yet these people die every summer from this and nothing is said or done about it . Please call your state representatives and and complain about this . These people who die by prolonged heat exposure are mainly the elderly and the sick. They were not sentenced to death by the courts. Even when the death sentence is given, it is done quickly and humanely as possible. The majority of Americans think everyone in prison is some violent evil monster and do not realize the majority are in there on non violent drug offense convictions
